The House of Hope children’s home provides a safe haven for orphaned children, a place where they can grow up in a caring, loving and family-like environment. House of Hope is based on the concept of small family units consisting of a maximum of ten children.
The children’s home is situated in the village of Meepitiya near the town of Nawalapitiya in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. Located on top of a hill, House of Hope offers a panoramic view over green valleys, a meandering river, small villages and tea-covered mountains.
The first children arrived at House of Hope in February 2008. Generous private sponsors are providing the finances to operate the House of Hope children’s home.
