Cherith International is developing a sustainable and contributing community in Nawalapitiya, a small town located in the central mountains of Sri Lanka. This community is caring for orphans, less-privileged children and vulnerable people.

Nawalapitiya is home to a multi-ethnic and multi-religious community with a diverse culture. Many families in this mountainous area are living on the breadline. Children are adversely affected by the poverty. Helping them to achieve a better future is an important focus of Cherith’s programs.
