Educational Center
Cherith's
programs are based on the needs of the local population. Many
breadwinners in this impoverished mountainous area are day laborers and
work is scarce. This has a direct impact on the children of these
low-income families.
To provide better opportunities for these disadvantaged children,
Cherith started an Educational
Center in June 2009. Currently, more
than fifty children receive free English classes after school. The classes are creative, educational, practical and joyful.

The demand for free-English classe is so high, that the Educational Center is already too small and children are on a waiting list. In order to provide more less-privileged kids with better opportunites, we are raising funds to expand the Educational Center with an extra floor.
In addition, the Educational Center facilitates medical programs, such as a monthly Mother & Child clinic, and provides office space to social workers carrying out programs for low-income families. The center is also being used for sport, cultural, and community-related events.
